What does the index measure?

The index aims to track how much and how brands appear in AI answers on Turkish commercial and informational question sets. The core indicators:

  • Mention rate: In what share of questions the brand is mentioned.
  • Citation: Which sites are shown as the source of the answer.
  • Share of answer: Total visibility compared to competitors.
  • Accuracy and tone: Whether brands are conveyed accurately and positively.

How is the methodology built?

  1. A representative question panel. Turkish questions from different industries reflecting real search behavior.
  2. Multi-platform measurement. Surfaces like ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Copilot.
  3. Regular repetition. AI answers are variable; a single measurement is misleading. Regular, repeated measurement is needed for the trend.
  4. Transparent limits. We clearly state that location, time and personalization affect results.

Why does honest methodology matter?

The biggest risk in this field is flashy but unverifiable statistics. We build the index by explaining how we measure, stating its limits and sharing findings with their sources. Our aim isn’t to produce a marketing number but to offer the industry a reliable indicator.
